Then Saturday we turned our basement into a restaurant for Kristinas group. Of course as always Blake was the fun waiter. The children always love it when he does it because he makes it so fun.
Allysa took David and Kristina took Jaron. They both got to go with the one they really wanted too so it was even more fun.
Friday day, Sheralle put on a primary activity that took months to put together. The Children had so much fun. We taught them how to do a Family Home Evening. The children rotated through different rooms where we had fun music ideas, A fun lesson - that had 26 laminated visual aids- on the word of Wisdom about 5 Snowmen that ate things they should not and what happened to them.
And a true story of a Sargent who was blessed for obeying the word of wisdom with a picture. Then a game station and a Dessert Station with Ice Cream Sundaes with 20 or more toppings. Afterwards Blake took the children on a Walrus Hunt. They loved it. Everyone loves it when Blake entertains. The parents are wondering what weird new songs (from the Walrus Hunt) their children are singing and several families have had over 3 FHE's before Church. Each family was sent home with a Binder with everything to have FHE. A laminated FHE wheel, The lesson with all the laminated visuals for the children to teach, as well as the story. We had a laminated Don't Eat Pete game in it with instructions and game/activity ideas- about 75 or more. We had a cook book with 36 recipes for treat and Lessons for a year that go along with the weekly primary theme. At the back we included a laminated copy of The Family Proclamation. The parents were way happy and we feel like something wonderful has been accomplished- and are glad it is over too.
Blake helped Sheralle pull it all off and she helped him get ready for the big homemade pizza party with the Priests which he did not get to attend because of all the extra emergency surgeries on Wednesday.
Saturday we went with Brittany and the children to the park. They were going to ride bikes but were too intersted in running around the trails and looking at the water. Ashley even decided it would be fun to run away. We tried not to give her too much attention for it until she was obviously not going to stop. The faster we chased the faster she ran. We then went to Artic Circle the girls favorite place- baby ice cream cones and playground. Katie is always the leader and makes friends with all the children. Even the older children do what she tells them.
